Today we have a guest burrito from Taco Time courtesy of MN. It looks the grease is a bit much for the tortilla to handle. That's what you get for dealing with a beef burrito that grew up in a food-court.

Day 24 - lunch

1 x Burrito Tipico -- Veganized at The Royal Diner (associated with the The Royal Albert Arms on Albert St.). Despite Day 22's less than perfect performance by The Royal Diner, I gave their burrito a second run in the same week. Service time for a lunch was again oddly questionable (almost 60 minutes), but the burrito was superb. Not much to look at, and they were out of salsa, but it had an awesome tang to it. As a well deserved bonus (using a little bit of Jedi persuasion on my part), my order was comped.

Day 22

0 x Burrito Tipico -- Veganized at The Royal Diner (associated with the The Royal Albert Arms). Not only did it take 70 minutes to get the order, but it had cheese in it when it arrived (i.e. it was not what I ordered). It said on the bill "vegan burrito", so I received an indirect apology from the chef via the waitress; unfortunately, apologies aren't very filling. The worst kind of burrito is no burrito at all. Luckily, I stock burrito provisions back at the base.

1 x Black Bean Burrito -- not on the menu (Pastry Castle on McDermot Ave). Looked better than it tasted. Serves me right for not ordering off the menu. Arguably this may even be just a wrap and not even a real burrito. I suppose the fact that the beans aren't cooked is the deciding factor (that or the pickle garnish). That just means that I'll have a real burrito for supper just to make sure I get my daily fix!

1 x Taco Time Veggie Burrito -- no dairy, extra guacamole instead (Food Court in Winnipeg Square). I had to twist the employee's arm to substitute the cheese & sour cream for extra guacamole and to get more than one hot sauce to go (I asked for 3). So the visit was less than pleasant. But, as usual, for $3.99 plus tax, the actual burrito hit the proverbial spot.
